AIMPA launches a PTA innovation initiative

The All India Maritime Pilots’ Association (AIMPA) is launching a research paper competition on pilot ladder innovation, in conjunction with the Indian Maritime University.

Capt. Gajanan Karanjikar, president of AIMPA stated: ” This is first of its kind event happening in India involving students of Maritime Training centers (148 of them- and a total of 15000 students of Nautical and engineering.”

The aim of the competition is to reach out to maritime students across India in order to attract innovative ideas on the safe use and rigging of pilot ladders. The results of the competition will be published after the summer.
